::Great car rental company. Superb service and the cheapest price. We rent their cars in 2017 and 2021. Both times, we called the local Alamo office after arriving at San Jose. In 2021, we rent a car for two months. During that period, all employees at Alamo Paseo Colón were super clear and approachable. When we had complaints or a change in our needs, they were extrenely flexible and attentive. Especially, I am thankful to Andre who attended me in a customer friendly manner over phone multiple times. This guy knows how to put his clients first. Thanks for being available at all times. Great experience!!!

::We rented a small 4x4 for a month. The car was great, the service we received was excellent. We had to wait 2 hours at pickup because our car wasnt ready: but to make it up to us they gave us 1 day rental free and a half tank of gas: now that's great customer service!! I'll use Alamo / National again next time I'm in Costa Rica!!

::Excellent Service, no games, no nonsense. I read several warnings and a lot of advice about renting a car in Costa Rica, but going through Alamo was an easy, straightforward process, and they had the best prices. No surprises about other charges, additional insurance required (other than the mandatory third party liability which was explained on their website), etc. The reservation process was easy and let me know everything I needed to know, unlike other car rental companies well known in the US. Pick up and drop off were also easy and straightforward. I paid what I expected to pay.

::Never rent from Alamo rent a car Costa Rica. My experience is that after 8 days of have returned the car and paid for the rental time they still have a hold of 500$ on my credit card. I talked several times with agents and seems that no one is capable to solve the problem. Now I'm in a foreign country and I'm not able to have access to my credit card because they have a hold on it.
