  100% IN LOVE. I stayed here for a week in March 2021. You have found your home, location, and people! The home is incredibly unique, comfortable, well-designed, and well-built with openings/windows through the entire space, opening right to the jungle. There is an observation deck on the top with chairs and a hammock- an ideal addition to relax and take your surroundings in visually and audibly. It’s made and positioned perfectly for the experience you came here for; not to mention the location is a brief walk or bike ride to the beach and easily/quickly accessible to the small town with shops and eateries. (you are nestled back on a gravel path in the jungle off/away from the main road, which borders the beach) The people you will be renting this from are genuinely caring and attentive! John and Eric took time from their busy days to not only ensure I had what I needed and my stay would be comfortable, but even walked me through town to point out all of the hot spots and shops I would need or desire! They periodically checked in on me, knowing I was a first-time solo traveler and it was my first time out of the states. You just can’t match this unique experience. Book with them and go enjoy the heck out of your stay in Puerto Viejo.

  amazingly unique accommodations in the Jungle, the owners Eric and John were incredible hosts, every day we enjoyed watching nature from the comfort of our terrace... can hardly wait to return

  My girlfriend and I stayed in the dome. It was a truly unique experience, total immersion in the nature, we almost felt part of the jungle. Perfect choice for someone looking out of the ordinary. Eric and John are fantastic hosts doing everything they can to help make our stay the best!

  I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I came for several days looking to completely chill out in the jungle, and this was perfect. I stayed at Casa Corazon and their new place, Perezoso (I think)--very different places, but both amazing. Corazon is magical: a thai-style little house that is both cozy and completely open to the surrounding jungle, with a pool that was perfect to just sit and chill out in, and a hammock on top to nap beside birds and sloths in the trees. Perezoso is a modern structure that is beautifully designed and makes you feel like you are living in a tree--one entire wall opens up to the jungle. Both are set in gorgeous native jungle plus decorative natives that the owners have incorporated into the landscape. You are part of the forest there, so if you don't like being part of nature, it is not the place for you. If you do though, It is a visual feast of living things and the sounds at night are amazing, lulling you to sleep. John and Eric are completely attentive without being invasive--they checked in often but I still felt like I was living in my own private paradise. The beach is a 5 min walk away, and the place is just far enough from the town to still be accessible by foot but removed enough to be totally serene. I've traveled all over the world, and this became one of my favorite spots on the planet. Seriously.

  This was my second stay at Casa Corazon Del Mar. My experience was even better than my first time. And I didn’t think it could get any better. The Owners, John and Eric are so helpful and friendly. They make you feel like your a part of the family visiting your own Oasis. The space is so clean and comfortable. The whole ambience was so relaxing and stunning looking at the lush and exotic greenery. You really feel like your in your own private jungle. The peaceful nights hearing the monkeys. The bright mornings seeing the sloths. The afternoon walks too the beach and beyond is what life should be like everyday. The beach is like 5 minutes away. And the amazing eclectic town is about a 15 minute walk. Everything you need is right there. I can’t wait too return again. Thank you, John and Eric for creating such a romantic, dreamy and inspirational space in the jungle.
