  We are a family of five who traveled through Costa Rica last week. Los Lagos was our first stop. It was a wonderful resort! We loved all of the pools, laying in the hot spring beds, the slide. The plants and landscape is gorgeous. Our room was simple but very clean. The beds and bedding was comfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant and had breakfast there both mornings. All five of us found plenty of options that we liked. Los Lagos was following COVID19 protocols. I highly recommend Los Lagos and hope to return there one day. Be sure to drive to the top of the resort to see the observation area!

  This hotel/spa/resort was on our agenda as an alternative to a more expensive hot springs in the area that we have visited many times in the past. My group left Los Lagos wishing we had paid the extra money and gone to what we knew. My experience in the lobby gave me the false impression that the facility was run down and the personnel unfriendly, but I discovered later that this was not so. The hot springs, though not as ornate or elaborate or as many attractions for kids and teens, was very tidy and well landscaped with an impressive view of Arenal. Rest room facilities were impeccable and full serviced; the lockers were free; and towels were inexpensive to rent.

  Wonderful place. The hot spring pools are well taken cared of and there are a lot!! The breakfast was delicious. Would recommend 1000% percent.

  Such a great resort with beautiful landscaping and views of the volcano. We loved relaxing in the hot springs but they also have some more medium temp pools and a regular swimming pool with water slides. Our room was huge and very modern. We were close enough to the restaurant that we got WiFi in our room. Great for families and couples alike. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  The place itself was nice. However, I was woken up at 6 am from weed whackers and leaf blowers right outside my door, and it lasted til 9 am!! I tried calling the front desk and the sent me to a voicemail after answering my phone call and hearing I had a complaint. Paid far too much for this place. If I’m traveling to another country, I’d like to be able to sleep. Next day I said something to the front desk and they were apathetic as possible. Plenty of resorts down this strip, and we forsure found better ones for better prices.
