  Decent stay here on a budget when in La Fortuna. Quite clean and right in front of it is a minimart, which is quite useful. If you are not sure of where to eat for dinner, you can go to Arenal Oasis Ecolodge, which is 5-min walk away. Walk another 10 minutes will bring you to the town where the big supermarket and restaurants are (by the main road). The owner is really helpful.

  This is a nice, small lodge. Good breakfast on site; you need to go into the town of La Fortuna for dinner. This lodge is conveniently close to Cerro Chato volcano, which you can hike up ($10 entry fee). The trail is steep and muddy.

  Miguel the owner was very helpful and nice, the rooms are comfortable for hostel standards and the location is fantastic! The breakfast is also very delicious.

  Beautiful lodge even if it's slightly outside. Consider US$ 5 each time you want to go to the center and 5 come back. Owner was extremely friendly and passionate about the town. Breakfast was good too. Room was excellent!
