  Amazing collection brilliantly displayed. Budget an hour to drool over tha craftsmanship and take home an authentic reproduction from the museum store as a memento.

  I liked this museum for its education on local history. They don't have a lot of art, but many of the pieces they did have were quite striking.

  Get a guide if you can find one. This museum is one of the national treasures of Costa Rica. Amazing gold and pottery artifacts to see. I went twice in one week. On my first visit, I happened to join a small group that had an English speaking guide. He added endless value to the visit explaining details of the native culture and the methods they used to make such amazing objects. I went back again and asked for a guide, but they said none worked for the museum. If you can find a guide, do it. The museum does not provide many details about the exhibits so you just get to see beautiful objects, but minimal cultural details or background.

  Interesting place, very neat, but what makes it better is the exhibitions that are held next to this place, when you buy the ticket you usually get access to other two exhibitions, a Numismatic one and an Art one. Don't know if they changed that but I went on January 2021

  Great place, easy to buy tickets, great service. Accesible for wheelchair. The art and mix of pieces was definetwly the best
