::First of all, Michael runs the place SUPER WELL. It is well kept up, and Michael had NO PROBLEM waking up at 1am so we could check out. He is very, very, very nice, and knows how to run a phenomenal business. The hotel itself has a nice pool, and nice people. It has good security, too. That brings me to explain why I only gave 3 stars. Puntarenas is a bit run down. Actually, it's very run down. The beach is pretty dirty, with sharp plastic scattered through the sand. There are a lot of empty lots, hoodlums on the streets, and almost every place has to have bars over the windows and doors. The hotel was great, but people should know it's not in the best location. The ocean is still and ocean, and it has a beach. SO, we got what we went their to see. If you're looking for a tropical paradise, though, you may want to search elsewhere!
