::Our driver gave us the inside of the scoop on this little highway gem. The locals that drive at a snails pace through this windy mountain road stop at 1 of the 3 chespiritos on the way. The food is really good typical Tico. I love this style of stewed pre prepared food with no fuss. Its fast and affordable and better than you would expect from a highway pullover.

::This is a great place for costarican typical food, specially for breakfast. This a great stop for a long drive, you will get hot coffee or "agua dulce". This is a self service place, they won't get to your table for the order. The only "lowlight" is that is kind of open place, making vert easy for your food to get cold very fast. It's not a fancy place, but you will get great food.

::Love this place! Always stop on road trip from San Isidro del General to San Jose. Fresh local Tico food, cafeteria style. To go or eat in. There is also a quick stop counter with a vast array of local sweets, cold drinks, fruits and flowers. Muy bueno!
