  While in downtown San Jose this park was a refuge for us. It provided a safe place to rest and enjoy our takeaway lunch, offered free wifi and was attended by police, on horse back and motorcycle. The kiosk was architecturally interesting and acoustically great for performances and speakers. We passed through the park on a Saturday and found it was quite popular with tourists and ticos, alike. We would have stayed in the park for much longer if we had the time as there was a lovely breeze through the park on the hot day that we were there. A nice spot of greenery amid the urban setting of downtown San Jose.

  Nice park, it gets crowded on working days. The kiosk was restored a few years ago and it has a great acoustic inside. These days the park is hosting the flying wings, originally from Mexico and traveling through the continent, take a picture before they fly away.

  Of the largest parks in the city center where you can appreciate different types of cultural expressions from dance, music and art, where even a few months ago was donated a piece called the wings of Mexico that gives new life to the park from its main entrance. It is the most emblematic point in the summer festivals that take place in March in San José.

  This is a very nice park that is right in front of the Holiday inn Aurora. It's safe, patrolled by police, and a nice place to just go and hang out for a while. I felt safe there with no problems. Other than that, it's nicely maintained. There's a giant set of wings made out of metal that you can stand in front of and take a picture. What I love is that it gives a real nice feeling to this area of the city.
