  Very bad room. dirty and uncomfortable. the owner is very nice and makes nice traditional breakfast but the facilities are miserable. pool ofcourse out of service.

  Never. I stayed here one night before my trip to Monteverde. It was pretty horrible then (cockroaches, no blanket, stains on the pillows, windows wouldn't close). But I decided to let it go. Then a month later when my husband came to Costa Rica to visit me, he had reserved a car through this hotel. When he arrived to get it nobody was there, no receptionist, no workers, the gate was locked. We called the owner multiple times and the hotel and nobody answered. It is definitely FRAUD. Don't rent a car from these people. SECONDLY, it is a BROTHEL! While my husband was there waiting, women came out and asked him more than once for you know what. And while he was waiting for another rental car company to bring him the car- he could hear the goings on of a brothel from the inside. SO, now knowing I stayed at a brothel and the owner pretending to have car rentals- I warn everyone else to NEVER stay there or make deals with this place.
