::Nice and safe hostel with very friendly staff, an outdoor pool, a basic shared outdoor kitchen, 2 shared toilets and cold showers each and clean rooms. The location is excellent, a few meters away is a beautiful view to the ocean, a soda and two supermarkets. Straight at the other side of the street is a bus stop. You can drive the route Quepos - Manuel Antonio (national park entrence) every 30 minutes for 345 Colones. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, got a 8-bed-room for our own and paid 10€ per person and night. Sadly there was no free breakfast included (like it's says on google) and it's only possible to pay in cash. The Wifi is excellent! We would stay again :)

::The hostel was very dirty. They don't wash sheets (they let me into the room where the sheets were still crumpled from the previous person, had to actively ask for it to be changed, and even then, they just removed it, shook it out, and put it back on). There was also no soap in any of the dispensers, despite me asking them to refill it. The bathroom mirrors were disgusting and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I saw more bugs in the rooms/bathrooms of this hostel than any of my other hostels in Costa Rica combined. Their pool was terrible. Felt like bath water, had bugs in it, and looked very murky. I couldn't bring myself to do more than dip my toes in. Like other parts of the hostel, they clearly don't clean the pool either. There was also no A.C. (it was advertised as fan-only, just a heads up!). There is also no breakfast provided. Literally, the only redeeming factor about this hostel is that it did have wifi that worked very well. In addition, they are located right in front of the local bus stop, so location is good. All in all, it was not worth the $14/night; I have stayed in much better hostels for less money.

::I would not ever stay at this hostel again. The rooms are dirty as are the bed sheets and pillow. The glass in the windows was broken and the fan dirty and noisy. The toilet seat was broken and the showers cold and smelly. They say the views are good but may have been 25 years ago before all the trees grown over the windows now not great views. The fridge and kitchen were dirty and a mess. It's sad that they have let this hostel deteriate so badly. It's such a shame that it's not a nice place, I left after one night.

::Over prized this hostel. The rooms are terribly ventilated and you get the feeling to be like a sardine in a can. Maybe some like it, I didn't at all. By far not worth the money.

::Our stay at Manuel Antonio Hostel was extremely satisfying. Alan at the front desk was brilliant - he helped us immensely with both our local excursion plans, and travel logistics beyond Manuel Antonio. Also seeing sloths and iguanas around the hostel grounds was an awesome bonus. Would definitely be happy to stay here again
