  I agree with other commenters that Buddha House is a hidden gem in Jaco. Right on the main strip, close to the beach, secure and clean with a terrific breakfast. Thank you, Marisel!

  One-block off the beach, pristine rooms, a GREAT breakfast. Everything one would hope for in a small hotel, from the personable, helpful and charming manager to the swimming pool...not sure where the iguanas come into play!

  Loved the large room and atmosphere. We got up late and breakfast was still available for us. Mary the Buddha keeper was a wealth of knowledge and hospitality.

  We were staying in that hostel for one night. First thing we arrived the receptionist/owner asked us to cancel our booking on booking.com and pay her directly for a free dinner. We were OK with that but it didn't work. She was very unfriendly after that and thought we were too dump to do it and didn't stop trying to convince us to try it again and again and again. Also the shared bathroom is not very welcoming and a bit dirty. The coffee and the juice were good. Nontheless, we would not recommend to stay here.

  Great place in the heart of Jaco. Convenient location and very friendly staff. Maricella is super nice and always available to help. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.
