  What disorganization! I have never seen a hospital so understaffed and in such a disarray as this one. My poor friend spent 17 hrs in this institution and was charged $1200 for it. Now, I know some will make the argument that that’s cheap in comparison to the states. True. However, because they charge by the hour, and to have a hospital so understaffed, obviously anyone will be there for hours on end. We were better off just cutting our trip short, buying new plane tickets to the states, and get better quality hospital care. I was told that these long waits and this type of care is normal, which is a pity. I had hoped better for the Costa Rican people. I love these people and certainly, they deserve better hospitalization care than what I observed today.
