  What a wonderful experience we had with Caribbean Chocolate and Coffee. They opened up their home and store, and gave us a fabulous private tour of their chocolate farm, production, and even a private tasting. They help create lasting experiences for the whole family. Something my kids will remember for the rest of their life.

  The sipping chocolate was excellent, not too sweet. I'm not much of a muffin person. I got it because of a recommendation and it was moist and tasty. I'll be back to try other things on the menu and also do some work on the computer because the vibe is chill. Credit cards accepted. Update: I came back and got the vegan cappuccino and blackberry muffin🤤🤤🤤

  Delicious coffee, incredible chocolate (we tried the terroir which was rich, smooth and nuanced), and muffins to die for. My gluten free chocolate & banana muffin was toasted to perfection. They offer coconut or almond milk options. The breakfast burritos look amazing so we will have to go back!

  I started the day here with a cafe mocha and it was out of this world rich, chocolatey smooth and not so sweet. When dark chocolate is as good as they make it here then less sugar is necessary. We took the chocolate tour right from the restaurant and learned so much in an excellent and fun adventure. You will have to do a steep hike but it’s short and we saw lots of sloths, bullet ants, tree frogs, and spiders along the way. And the views from up above rocked. I tried a lot of local chocolates and liked these the most.

  One of our favorite tours we did throughout our 2 week trip bouncing around Costa Rica. Our guide, Dexter, was a plethora of knowledge starting from the tree that grows the bean and all the way through to when it becomes a chocolate bar. He was also great at pointing out wildlife on your trail walk and we were able to see some animals that we hadn't caught a glimpse of until then. When it came time for our tasting we were on a deck with an incredible view and spotted some toucans while up there. The 'drink of the gods' was amazing-a spiced up hot chocolate essentially but much better described by Dexter. We tried an array of chocolates from other farms and then tried their own concoctions where were all different and unique. This is a must tour if you are in the Puerto Viejo area!
