  Really friendly and amazing ambiance! They make you feel like you are in your own little world, even though it’s right by the road. They have an amazing aesthetic and all the plants are amazing to look at! Outside and inside are both amazing to sit in! They have many selections and even give amazing recommendations catering to what you like. They allow you to customize your own dish, by selecting from each section to give you an amazing meal! This place wants to make you just relax and spend time enjoying life 😊 A quick walk from the central plaza by the pre-columbian gold museum ☺️ a great finish to an amazing day

  We had such a great experience. The staff is so warm and inviting. The food was fresh and delicious! Definitely stop by if you’re in the area.

  First time in Costa Rica and I wasn’t sure if vegan options were available. I was pleasantly surprised by this small quaint restaurant. The menu was very easy to understand and follow. The food was delectable and up to par to options in hipster cities in the U.S. I highly recommend this place for strict vegans and vegetarians. It is conveniently located near the center of town.

  Cafe Rojo is a hip and welcoming space. I really enjoyed my experience, which was unique in San Jose. The staff are friendly, the cook is phenomenal, almost everything on the menu is made at the cafe. Oh the menu- is one of a kind, giving customers choice and opportunity to make their own dream plate. I highly recommend that trout fish, it is scrumptious!! As you can see on the photo, the meal is tasty and irresistible! Please visit this place, you will not regret it

  Loved it! Sat on the charming patio on a stormy night and had a delicious Casado with pork meatballs. The owner and the staff were very friendly and welcoming (and could speak English and French). I recommend their cookies too!
