::From start to finish the staff made our experience top notch. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them if you have any questions- tours transportation etc., they are extremely helpful and treat you like family. The secluded beach front location speaks for itself and was the perfect balance- private but close to all the things to see and do. We really only spent time in our room sleeping so the simple cabina was great for the two of us- basically an outdoor shower/bathroom, air conditioning (heads up the light on it is bright at night if that bothers you), a safe. They are somewhat close to each other but the vegetation helps separate them and we were the only ones staying in that area for most of our trip. They are steps from the restaurant, beach and tap to rinse your feet, great for watching sunrises and wildlife early in the morning. If you’re seeking a vegan and eco-friendly getaway book it now!! And make sure to check out their sister hotel Sano Banano- the guys there are super friendly too and the food is just as delicious. 10/10 would visit again!

::Jean and I got married on the beach and it was incredible. Emma and her whole team were beyond fantastic. They thought of absolutely everything and all we had to do was show up. We are over the moon with the experience. The entire place was always spotless, the food incredible, and best of all, the people and service were the BEST! We stayed in the tree top canopy and I'm telling you, it was out of this world. Howler monkeys in the trees, an ant eater out back, and beautiful scenery that I just can't do justice here. Picture making coffee to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below you, the sun coming up from the east through the trees, and the smell of the Costa Rican coffee from the out door kitchenette on your huge patio and being in awe of how blessed you are. We are already planning our 5th anniversary to go back. Montezuma is a cool little town, and we had tons to do for adventures......and just chill on the beaches. I wish I could tell you about the food in town, but everything was so good at Ylang Ylang that we actually never went into town. I'm gushing about this because it's all so amazing. I'm not one to write reviews at all, but we've been bragging to everyone since we got back. PS We did two massage sessions while we were there. You haven't had a massage until you've done it in the trees with the ocean in the background. Now I wish we did a yoga class - can't imagine being in the studio looking at the waves and connecting with all that is good. Thank you and congratulations to the whole Ylang Ylang team. Jean and I will never forget what you all did for us. See you in 2026 for our 5th year anniversary!!!!

::I loved this resort, the tree top canopy was amazing. The staff are the best. I forgot my hat, jeff was kind enough to meet me days later to return it. Food and ambience were great as well. Thank you!

::This is the most beautiful setting for a resort that I have ever seen. It sits in a lush jungle right on the beach. Our freestanding bungalow was only 50 yards from the ocean. The bungalow was a bit more rustic than we would have preferred, but it was very clean. Being able to hear the waves crashing on the beach at night was a nice bonus. The pool deck was also quite nice. The on-premises restaurant had an amazing range of options on the menu, and the food and service far exceeded our expectations. One of the best features of this resort was the staff. Every one of them were delightful, especially Eric -- the driver who picks you up at a hotel in town to transport you in a four-wheel drive vehicle along a beach "road" to the resort. He just exuded positivity and warmth.

::We were so excited to visit this resort; however, the pandemic prevented us from traveling to Costa Rica this summer (i.e., we could not physically travel there due to government ban). The other two resorts we booked understandably refunded our money given the unprecedented crisis of a global pandemic but not Ylang Ylang Beach Resort. They offered a credit to use within one year or a refund of half of our payment. We opted for receiving half of our payment because the future of international travel is unpredictable at the moment and likely for months to come. We felt we should share our poor experience with this resort with others who are considering booking.
