  TRALAPA has the worst customer service of any bus company I have ever traveled with. I say this as a seasoned traveler who has traveled around Costa Rica and Latin America by bus for years and largely had pleasant experiences. I have never had an experience as poor as the one I did with TRALAPA. First, I purchased round trip bus tickets from San José to Brasilito with TRALAPA online via the website La Terminal. When I arrived to the TRALAPA terminal in San José for my bus to Brasilito, I was informed that there was no 12:30 pm bus, so they changed my bus ticket to 4 pm, the next departure. What was supposed to be a 5-6 hour bus ride became a 9 hour bus ride, as the bus took the most indirect route from San José to Brasilito and made frequent stops to pick up and drop off passengers and packages. To top it off, one of the tires of the bus popped midway through the journey, so we had to pull over at a gas station, get off the bus, and wait as the bus driver changed the tire in the middle of the night. We did not arrive in Brasilito until 1 am. Concerned my return journey would be equally as long, I messaged La Terminal via WhatsApp four times over the next several days asking if I could change my 9:45 am return ticket to 6:50 am. I was never met with a direct response, so the morning of my return, I arrived at the bus terminal in Brasilito and asked if I could use my 9:45 am ticket for the 6:50 am bus. The driver, who was not wearing a mask, despite that it is law for all employees who interact with the public to wear a face covering per the Costa Rican Ministry of Health, informed me that I could purchase a new ticket for the 6:50 am bus and ask to have my 9:45 am ticket refunded. After boarding the bus and purchasing a new ticket, I messaged La Terminal for the 5th time via WhatsApp to be informed that they do not change tickets. Afterwards, the bus driver, who was still not wearing a mask, was incredibly rude to me. The return trip to San José took 8 hours. Overall, I had a horrible experience with TRALAPA. I was sold tickets that did not correspond with the bus schedule, left stranded in San José for hours between buses, left to stand outside in the dark of night while the bus tire was changed after popping mid-journey, and openly insulted by a bus driver who was not complying with Ministry of Health regulations. I strongly recommend finding an alternative mode of transportation between San José and Guanacaste than TRALAPA.

  They charge for the use of the toilet, the place is neglected, the customer service good. Schedules are not met

  Too much travel time with respect to what is mentioned. They make too many stops along the way. If you are heading to Tamarindo and want a fast route, this is not a good option.

  Not the best option, dirty bus, always late, no a/c, we got a flat tire and awaited the bus for 6 hours.

  Terrible costumer service, the guy on the phone sounded as mad as hell
