::Unfortunately the promise of a decent craft ale here was somewhat marred by surly service and unpalatable drinks. We ordered a Cocoa Porter and it was full of what looked like cocoa husk. When my partner asked for them to be changed he was told he should’ve asked to try the drink before buying!!! Apart from the added extras in the drinks there was little resemblance to a porter and no taste of cocoa either. In fact just brown, muddy looking water. The drinks were changed and we tried a cider instead which was tasty. Some customer service training might help to improve things slightly.

::This place rocks. Beers are delicious, bartenders are friendly and the view can’t be beat. The food was really good too.

::Was a great place but not now! Slow service and then the wrong food. Then an hour later still saying they will fix it! Then got charged for more than what we got! Montana who said he was the owner said he would take care of it. He never came back and talked to us, but he talked to everyone else. We played the bill and left. I would not recommend this place!

::Beers are decent... If you wait long enough for someone to bring you a menu... Then wait long enough to bring your drinks and then, after waiting forever (the length of time it takes to drink your beer actually, which is close to an hour for me) someone MAY bring you your food. That is, if they don't mess it up with someone else's. Just because it say craft beers does not mean you should go.

::We had a wonderful time at Kaya's Place! It was our first time visiting Puerto Viejo and the staff were so kind and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations for things to do. The center of town was only a few minute walk away, but we found ourselves staying at the hotel for dinner and drinks because it was so good and inexpensive! We definitely recommend trying the beer as well.
