::We stayed at Hotel El Nido Halcon for a week during Envision. It’s only a 7 minute drive from the main entrance which is great! The breakfast was very good as well. The pool is nice. My main issue with our stay was our bed. Our mattress looked to be over 25 years old, had yellowed, and was covered in dirt and dust. I was first worried there were bedbugs but on closer inspection, it was just bits of dirt and debris. To top it off, the mattress topper barely fit the mattress and disrupted our sleep most nights as we were constantly having to put it back on and felt quite gross when we would wake up to find ourselves on the old, dirty mattress. The room had a musty smell as well which I’m assuming had to do with the mattress. When I asked the front desk attendant for a different cover, she said they didn’t have them, although I had already seen one in the other room. Could have been a misunderstanding due to the language barrier though. As much as I want to leave a 5-star review because the people are nice, I think hotel management needs to know that there are small changes they could make that could exponentially improve the stay of future guests. Get mattress covers, or keep the mattress vacuumed and steamed cleaned at the very least. Replace the lounge chairs. No one wants a rough piece of broken plastic jammed in their back while trying to enjoy an afternoon by the pool. The wifi is very slow and we had multiple power outages while visiting as well as the water was off one morning. There is no hot water in the shower. There is also this loud vibrating noise that we heard for intervals of 5 minutes a few times a day which I am assuming is something to do with their water pipes? I would not stay again but I do hope they consider pay the small price to make these changes for the comfort and enjoyment of future guests.

::Really nice place in great location and at an affordable price. Staff is friendly and the restaurant has great food.

::The food here is amazing!!! I didn't stay at the Hotel here but there is a small restaurant there at the front of the Hotel. Great selection of food. I had the chicken burger with potato wedges and chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. The food is very reasonably priced and is gourmet in quality. Would definitely eat here again
