  Beautiful hotel, undescribable views of the sunset. The staff was friendly and useful. The only downside were the mosquitos, otherwise, the place is perfect.

  Sadly disappointing Front desk staff was kind and sympathetic but nothing was done to remedy unfortunate issues and too late to bother with changing rooms. Shower didn't work properly and ran out of hot water in 5 minutes. Which actually was mixed blessing bc drain was backing up. When got out of Shower the tub has backed up from the shower. No one else could take a shower bc hot water never came back. After long day of hiking and exercise in cloud forest, we needed hot showers. Yes its a rainforest but several insects kept having to be removed from bed, ants etc idk what all they were. It wasn't just a few, but a steady onslaught. Leaking doors w gaps meant the bathroom door banged all night in wind but w an open window to common hall way in the bathroom we were not comfortable leaving it open while we slept. Don't stay at El Establo if you're looking to eat at the fine dining restaurant. It's closed but they don't tell you that. Laggus will disappoint you greatly and you will be responsible for chasing off the raccoon yourself. Picture is tub the following morning after shower it still hadn't drained from backing up the night before.

  The rooms are not refresh for jears, all old, for that price you find a lot better hotels, rooms like a hostel!!!

  The views are really spectacular and the beds are great. The rooms themselves are very dark and don't have nearly enough lighting. There is no AC or fan. There isn't much to do at the hotel itself but it's a great option for the night.
