They operate with a family feel, treating clients like family and taking care of every conceivable detail of our trip!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Aaron at Costa Rican Vacations. First, I should tell you I was very skeptic working with a travel agent to begin with but after numerous conversations with Aaron he became like a friend! I was so comfortable with him, the company their professionalism. We left everthing in Aaron's hands, which for me was very hard to do...I'm so glad I did. He asked me what my goals where in CR and we wanted to see a sloth and the ocean...he exceeded those ecpectations!! Arron gave us the best of both worlds. We first stayed at the Nayara Resort Spa & Gardens where we saw such beatiuful things. As we got into our room late they had a plate of food waiting for us and showed us how everthing worked. The next morning we opened the curtains and there was the Arenal Volcano, do you know what it's like to see something so massive? We were in awe, as the weather cleared we saw her in her full glory, amazing! Mind you, you are looking at this from your rainforest balcony with a private hot tub just steps away. Then it was sloth time!! We asked the front desk and they brought us right to the mom and her baby hanging onto her, for the first time in my life I was speechless. The customer service at Nayara was exceptional! Everyone was so excited to tell you about new foods, their culture, and they remembered you! Brian would say "see you for breakfast tomorrow" and the next day would remember our names. Alejandra, was lovely! She showed us everthing on the menu and really took her time to answer our questions. We even saw her in town a few days later and she still remembered us. I mean everyone was fabulous! The second leg, Aaron had us stay at The Westin by the ocean side of CR and the hotel was quite different from Nayara. Nayara was very quite, romantic and slow moving. The Westin was beatiuful, but quite large for us, this wasn't bad by any means, just different. Our first room seemed a bit homey and with our lower floor "balcony" being on the main path everyone walked by. The upgraded room was entirely better and I'm glad we did it. You're offered a bit more when you upgrade...we just wanted a better room. The upgraded room included a private balcony, a private "gold members adults only pool" with premium liquor, the mini bar in the room was better (and could be filled twice a day) and we had our own concier. I'm sure there was more but we really just wanted the better room and privacy. I ended up having a medical emergency (not related to the trip) and loved they had a doctor on staff who was able to look at my situation and give me an RX within 20 minutes. Within a day my situation became worse and I emailed Aaron asking for advice, seconds later Isaac from Costa Rican Vacations called our room and found a 24 hour pharmacy with a clicnic attached, and arranged transported. It was Beach Side Clinic where Dr. Fernando took amazing care of me up until the day I left. Isaac was calling and emailing me or my husband asking if I was ok and if they could do anything more. When I got back the staff that knew I left asked me if I needed anything else (in total privacy). We knew the entire trip Costa Rican Vacations had us in their hands. As Aaron promised they are with you the entire way. I still recieve emails asking how I'm feeling! From the first flight getting delayed, to missing our connecting to having a personal assistant pick you up in the airport at 1:00am, direct you to where to buy a CR SIM card, take you to your own private van that had snacks, drinks and great conversation. It was personal service the entire trip as Aaron had promised me. While I did get sick on one of the taxi rides from the clinic Louis Armstrong's "What a wonderful world" played on a static radio. I thought we didn't create the memories I hoped we would have...but this, this was our memory! In Costa Rica, holding hands in the back of taxi, 20 years together "what a wonderful world" playing in the background. Me, with tears in my eyes for the love I have for my husband. See you next year Costa Rica.

We used Costa Rican Vacations and could not be happier with our result. When going to another country for the first time, it is sometimes a leap of faith to rely on another party to steer you through the unknown. It was immediately recognizable that CRV was the right choice when Pam was waiting for us outside our gate of arrival. She guided us though Customs toward our driver. This was the case for each of our transfers, from the ride to Arenal, the ride from Arenal to Guanacaste, to our transportation back to our departing airport. Even with the slightest misstep, Yermi, Sofia, and the rest of CRV were quick to steer us back on course. It is nice to know that they were available and communicated throughout our entire vacation. They stand behind their satisfaction guaranteed! I highly recommend Costa Rica to anyone debating we’re to travel to. It is such a beautiful and diverse country with the friendliest people. And i highly recommend using Costa Rica Vacations to book your trip. They provide a great list of excursions to think about. We did the combo canyoning/white water rafting with Pure Trek! Totally amazing! Book it! You will love it. We also went deep sea fishing with Randy of Taking Fish (a lot of research went into it). He and his crew were incredible...we caught 35-40 grouper, snapper, and sea bass that were cooked for us when we got back to the shore). Thanks again to CRV for holding our hand through our trip. You helped make it special and we cannot wait to return. Thanks also for going above and beyond to make it relaxing! It is greatly appreciated!
