While the Drs associated w San Rafael seem capable, the staff is not. The nurses are trained to be nurses but not trained on how to THINK. Which creates a huge void. My nurse pushed me across one bed on to the next bed by pushing on the broken femur that had just been operated on 30 minutes prior. And broke it all lose again. Causing extreme trauma and pain. Three weeks later the PT. Basically forced me to put full weight on that leg prematurely. Hence causing it to break apart yet again. I feel lucky to get out of there alive. Bill

Great place for tourists who need minor medical attention. Efficient, quick, helpful, and friendly. My sister in law got stung by a wasp at our hotel and since shes allergic to bees it was starting to look a bit serious. We stopped in the clinic a little unsure of what to expect and fearful of a large bill since we didnt have international health insurance. But we were in and out in an hour and a half with a blood test to make sure she didnt have an infection, and two prescriptions filled. The whole thing cost right at $200. We're fromthe US where this would have been an all day ordeal and probably cost over $500 at least. We're impressed and grateful to say the least!

I was diagnosed and treated for a deep vein thrombosis while on vacation, by Dr. Erick Barrantes Arraya, a Pulminary Vein Specialist, who got me in immediately.
