::Decent stay here on a budget when in La Fortuna. Quite clean and right in front of it is a minimart, which is quite useful. If you are not sure of where to eat for dinner, you can go to Arenal Oasis Ecolodge, which is 5-min walk away. Walk another 10 minutes will bring you to the town where the big supermarket and restaurants are (by the main road). The owner is really helpful.

::This is a nice, small lodge. Good breakfast on site; you need to go into the town of La Fortuna for dinner. This lodge is conveniently close to Cerro Chato volcano, which you can hike up ($10 entry fee). The trail is steep and muddy.

::Miguel the owner was very helpful and nice, the rooms are comfortable for hostel standards and the location is fantastic! The breakfast is also very delicious.

::Beautiful lodge even if it's slightly outside. Consider US$ 5 each time you want to go to the center and 5 come back. Owner was extremely friendly and passionate about the town. Breakfast was good too. Room was excellent!
