  We loved Casa Batsu, everything went smoothly and the atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. Perfect after an adventure outside. We enjoyed interacting with Carlos and his family, they gave great tips on the area and made our stay excellent.

  I’d give 6/5! Carlos and Paula are amazing hosts. They are helpful, kind and excellent chefs! Can’t recommend this place enough.

  I booked the shuttle from Casa Batsu from La Fortuna to Monteverde because of many good reviews. Unfortunately this turned out to be the most stressful and disappointing experience in my whole month in Costa Rica. I received an email that our pickup will be there at 8:30 am. We were on time at the pick up spot, but no shuttle. We got worried and called to find out, that the shuttle had already left and everyone was on the boat already. Carlos the owner told me he is sorry and forgot to write me a mail, that the pickup time has changed to an earlier time. He just offered me the next shuttle at 2pm. I was really upset and after resisting that I don’t accept this solution because it is not our fault and we just had a very short time in Monteverde, he drove to take us to Monteverde. The situation was awkward and his driving was aggressive which made me very dizzy. He promised me to give me my money back, which he still hasn’t done to this date. He ignores my messages which I think is very rude and unprofessional. I think it is disappointing because we did nothing wrong. If you are looking for a reliable service from La Fortuna to Monteverde, I would suggest you to look for a different company, as we took many shuttles and never had any issues.

  This place is amazing!!! Carlos and his family welcomed us with open arms! The rooms are very well appointed. There are only great things I can say about this B&B!!! Carlos is so knowledgeable and helpful. We stayed here one night on the way to Fortuna. We loved it so much we came back for another night!

  Booked a shuttle with Carlos. Great funny easy going guy, smooth ride all the way from monte verde to tamarindo. He’s very rich in knowledge of Costa Rica and it’s history and the surroundings, very friendly. Definitely recommend booking his BnB and his services.
