  They stolen our money with the worst exchange rate in Costa Rica. 390 colones per 1 dollar. BE SMART!! DON'T WITHDRAW YOUR MONEY THERE!!

  Nice people. Pura Vida. Prepare for long waits in Costa Rica when going to the bank. I have spent no less than an hour and half each time. Avoid Mondays, Fridays and pay days. You will wait longer. The waiting room is air conditioned and secure with guards and locked doors. Bring a book and be zen. Must come in person. Three to four days wait for delivery of your banking cards, if all goes well. (2 of 3 my accounts were delivered on time...) Ask for online banking access while you are there. I opened accounts (3 hours), picked up 2 of 3, and went home to discover I can't access online banking with what I have. Always ask. Now waiting to pick up CLAVE to get online access. Wish me luck! Oh...and the cards don't work with PayPal Costa Rica. You need a Banco Nacional account for that. Joy!
