    Just dropped our car off and the original Adobe person wrote down the wrong time to pick up our car, so we were charged an extra day even though we returned the car in the afternoon. Adobe person told us that we are automatically charged for the extra day and we could keep the car until tomorrow. We told them we would be on a plane tomorrow and we have a hotel shuttle taking us. Even though it was their mistake, they still charged us for returning the car the same day. Adobe charges a lot of extra fees; my original rental was around $585 dollars online, when the guy came to drop off the car to us after all the fees it was $785. Stay away from this car rental company. From all the responses of all your bad reviews, it never seems anything is your fault or your mistake. You don't correct any of it, so don't even waste your time. I am better off contacting my credit card company to help me. You guys have the worst SYSTEM and the worst experience. We come to Costa Rica every year and this is the first time we had a crappy experience with a rental car. I will make sure everyone knows.

    Rented direct through adobe online. When we arrived they picked us up from the airport. Car we rented was waiting, we filled out forms, walked the car, which did have some scratches but they were all thoroughly detailed in the paperwork. MAKE SURE YOU WALK THE CAR THOROUGHLY. We had a credit card that allowed us to “waive” the extra insurance but in retrospect it’s worth the extra $100 or so dollars to get the full coverage insurance through them. Overall we had zero issues from start to finish and would rent from them again.

    Much nicer car than I expected. Rented a newer Hyundai Tucson 4x4 Automatic for about $350 with credit card insurance waiver for 8 days. Car was clean and well taken care of.

    For those not familiar with Costa Rica, there is a mandatory insurance that is charged on top of the daily rental fee of a vehicle. A lot of rental companies we looked at were not transparent with what this fee exactly was and we had to spend a lot of time looking through fine print to notice that on top of a daily rental fee, some companies would charge up to $100 USD per DAY for this mandatory insurance. After spending hours and hours researching car rentals in Costa Rica, we stumbled across a blog called My Tan Feet who had an entire article about renting cars in the country and highly recommended a local company called Adobe Rent a Car. Based on this and other traveller reviews, we decided to book through the widget on the My Tan Feet blog with the promise that all fees were transparent and the final quoted price was what you actually paid upon arrival. When we arrived at the Liberia Airport, a shuttle was waiting for us and took us to the Adobe offices about 10 minutes away. We were greeted by a super friendly rep who talked us through the rental process, inspected the vehicle with us and was very helpful. We were not charged a penny more than what were quoted, we received a great quality vehicle and had a fantastic experience at both check in and check out. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Adobe!

    After we were told our car was no longer reserved at Hertz, we were frantic to find another vehicle as our itinerary depended on the flexibility of a car. Because of high season, there was no availability for vehicles, so we were very anxious. We arrived at Adobe and spoke with Alexander who was very understanding and accommodating. It turns out there had been a cancellation the night before, so Alexander hooked us up with the car. We were so relieved to know we didn't have to change our travel plans and accrue more charges because of the poor customer service we received at Hertz. Adobe was professional and really helped us out. This was the first time we used Adobe, and we will certainly use them in the future because of this wonderful experience. Thanks for saving the day!
